IRMC Responsibilities
IAU/IRMC will make following provisions for the appointed Fellow to achieve learning objectives (The fellowship Director/Supervisor must include specific description for each of the following leaning methods, including the planned conference at which the Fellow will attend):
- Supervision by at least one senior scholar who actively promotes the postdoc's professional development.
- Provision of advanced specialized lectures to the Fellow on areas related to the fellowship’s scholarly studies or scientific research (hours and topics will be provided by fellowship Director/Supervisor).
- Weekly mentoring by Supervisor related to the scholarly study or scientific research project to which the Fellow is assigned.
- Provision of “hand’s on” experience learning technical techniques critical to the Fellow’s assigned field of study or research.
- Attendance to at least one international conference related to the Fellow’s field of study.
- Co-authorship of at least 3 scholarly or scientific manuscript for submission to a peer reviewed journal relating to his/her work during the fellowship each year.
Researcher Responsibilities
- Joining the selected department at IRMC and commencement of research according to IAU Research Ethics & Guidelines.
- Starting from the contract date, collaboration with the IRMC faculty to commence high end research and finalize /publish no less than three (3) articles in WOS indexed journals annually with the singular affiliation of IRMC.
- Maintainance of a strict NON-DISCLOSURE in respect of any information about IAU.
- Complete knowledge and awareness of IAU’s research and ethical standards and guidelines and a committed observation of all related policies (see the available resources.
- Development of independent career and professional Skills to excel in the chosen research field.
- Dated record of all data and results, and multiple publication of the results of the postdoc’s research during the fellowship (not less than 3 per year) with the consent of the Mentor.
- A unique research plan/project that integrates the Fellow’s, research mentor’s and IRMC’s research objectives. The research plan/project should be approved by the Mentor. Any Change in research plan must be approved by Mentor and then Post-doc Fellowship Program Office.
- The IRMC Mentor can also offer a research plan/project for the Fellow.
- In case of a possible patent, the rules governing 3 publications each year may be relaxed (1 patent in lieu of 3 papers), but the fellow and the mentor have to produce concrete evidence to support this claim well before the year’s progress report.
- In an unfavorable case of the patent application being denied, the fellow have to make up for the loss of publications before the end of fellowship tenure.
- Participation in an international conference related to the research field of fellow and mentor to represent the research conducted at IRMC during fellowship tenure.
- Submit a progress report every six months, containing mentor’s comments.
