Deanship event for you

An event over two consecutive days, aimed at introducing university students in general and preparatory year students in particular to the cultural and social activities offered by the Deanship, development programs, youth initiatives, sports activity, sports facilities, and getting acquainted with public student clubs closely.

Orientation program for new students and updates

An integrated program to prepare new male and female students and developments for university life, with the aim of introducing them to the cultural and social activities provided by the Deanship of Student Affairs, student housing services, nutrition, scholarships, sports activity, sports facilities, and student fund services. The program includes a meeting with the Dean of Student Affairs and my deputy Deanship of Student Affairs for services and activities. Questions and inquiries from students about the services and activities provided by the Dean are answered.

General Student Club Programs

Activities and events that are presented to student clubs according to a pre-prepared plan and aim to:
1. Enhancing the value of belonging to the university and loyalty to the homeland.
2. To develop a spirit of affection and brotherhood and friendship ties based on Islamic values among university students.
3. Providing opportunities for university students to participate in activities that are compatible with their inclinations, abilities, aptitudes, talents and specializations.
4. Participation in various events internally and externally, which enhances the exchange of experiences and develops them.

Programs of international days and social festivals

The Deanship seeks, through these programs, to:
1- Activating international days and social festivals.
2- Developing student participation in community service.

Student Leadership Programs

Leadership skills are an essential component of all success equations, whether on a personal, professional, or academic level. Leadership skills are one of the most in-demand skills that employers pay special attention to and look for in job applicants.

The Deanship of Student Affairs seeks to empower male and female students at the university with leadership skills to prepare students as leaders and producers in their community, provide effective leadership training, focus on development and self-development, and focus on developing the qualities that qualify a person to be a successful leader capable of achieving positive change in his community.

Graduation Party

The Deanship of Student Affairs organizes the graduation ceremony for male and female students of the university with a number of university departments under the supervision of the university’s higher graduation committee, under the patronage and presence of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province, and in the presence of the students’ parents.

Cultural Olympiad competitions

The Deanship of Student Affairs organizes a series of general cultural competitions for university students, during the academic year.

Stimulating creativity and excellence among students, through multi-axial competitions, targeting the students of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University.
Competition goals
1. Deepening the link between the young men and women of the country with the Holy Qur’an and the purified Sunnah of the Prophet.
2. Develop pride in the Arabic language, as it is the language of the Noble Qur’an, and the identity of the homeland of giving.
3. Discovering, developing, encouraging, and nurturing multiple literary and artistic talents.
4. Promoting virtuous Islamic values by providing high taste content.

Closing Ceremony of Activities

A ceremony organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the end of the academic year to highlight the cultural, sports and social activities that it carried out during the academic year. It is usual to have a montage presentation that embodies what has been accomplished, and honoring male and female students who excelled during the academic year in student activities. In the ceremony, the winner is also announced as the university’s star The winner is the university’s prize, honoring the colleges and entities that have succeeded and supported the achievements and work of the Deanship of Student Affairs during the academic year.

Programs for seminars and lectures

Scientific and cultural programs in the various branches of knowledge that discuss the issues and interests of students.
Objectives:
1- Developing students intellectually, culturally, and cognitively.
2- Investing in student activities to study and criticize students’ issues, according to their view and vision.
3- Training students to interact and communicate positively and accept and discuss the other's opinion.

National Day Celebration

The Deanship of Student Affairs celebrates the National Day, which carries great goals, including:

  •  Commemorating the anniversary of the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the announcement of its establishment under the rule of King Abdul Aziz Al Saud, may God rest his soul, in 1932 AD.
  •  Reviving the spirit of unity among all sects of the people in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  •  Develop national sentiments.
  •  Spreading happiness and joy among citizens and rejoicing in their belonging to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  •  Always reminding of the status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which it has owned since its unification, and which has become one of the most important countries in the world.

The importance of celebrating the National Day lies in introducing students to the various great achievements that have occurred in the Saudi homeland, and planting the seeds of patriotism and the national values and principles that revolve around it in the hearts of university students.

Programs of awareness exhibitions, meetings, and seminars

The Deanship seeks, through these programs, to:
1- Providing students with the skill to cover exhibitions efficiently.
2- Connecting university students with the local community.
3- Enriching the knowledge side of the exhibition visitors with the least time and effort.
4 - Employment of exhibitions in line with the interests of students.

University star competition and its rotation

It is a competition concerned with selecting the distinguished male and female student at the faculties level as well as at the university level within carefully defined systems and criteria, for which the faculties are nominated under specific conditions and criteria.

Award Objectives:
1- Honoring the elite of college students who took the lead among their colleagues with good behavior, high university spirit, participation in student activities, as well as their distinguished academic level.
2- Encouraging students to excel academically.
3- Motivating students to participate in the activities of the Deanship of Student Affairs.

Award Categories:

  • The College Star/Draa: It is a program to choose the best and most distinguished (student) among the rest of his colleagues at the college level, and the winning student receives an amount of (2500 riyals) with a commemorative shield.
  • University Star: It is a program to select the best male and female student at the university level, among the male and female students who were selected to win the College Star competition, and the winner will receive a valuable prize such as a car or a financial amount provided by one of the designated sponsors. for this competition.

Summer Enrichment Program

The Deanship of Student Affairs seeks to activate the societal partnership between the university and the local community, discover and develop skills, abilities and talents, direct them towards goals, invest students’ energies and achieve the aspirations of Vision 2030; Believing in the university’s pioneering role in building students and consolidating societal values, through the summer club set up by the Deanship to take care of the sons and daughters of university employees during the summer vacation period.
Objectives:
1. Activating the community partnership between the university and the local community.
2. Giving the students of the homeland the opportunity to practice their hobbies and interests.
3. Training students to discuss and confront contemporary issues facing society.
4. Protecting students from the scourge of intellectual and behavioral deviations.
5. Reviving the feelings of loyalty and the spirit of national belonging among the students.
6. Discovering students' cultural and literary talents, nurturing them, refining their talents, and presenting them to the community.
7. Creating the appropriate climate for students to create social interaction within the community.
8. The development of a normal personality through the practice of various activities.
9. Training and refining students' skills and providing them with information and knowledge that qualifies them to solve the problems of the society around them.
10. Achieving personal and social compatibility, which leads to commitment to the values, standards and ethics of society and sound social interaction with others.

Student Activities Excellence Award

A quarterly award presented by the Deanship of Student Affairs at Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University for general and specialized student clubs in their tracks:

  • Programs Track: For the best program, organized by public and specialized student clubs during each semester
  • Student Track: For the best male and female student who interacts and excels in the activities of general and specialized student clubs during each semester.

Award Objectives:
1. Encouraging student clubs to provide quality programs and making them a mainstay in the club's system.
2. Raising the spirit of honest competition between student clubs to hold creative activities.
3. To reveal the capabilities of student clubs to establish new activities.
4. Encouraging students to interact in student club activities.
5. Raising the spirit of honest competition among students of student clubs.

University Cultural World Cup

 The Deanship of Student Affairs organizes a cultural competition for all students of Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University, in all faculties, on several levels. The second stage is the division of college teams into three groups, each group competing individually, to win one team from each group. In the final stage, these teams compete to determine the first three places.

Contest goals
1. Consolidating the value of culture and reading.
2. Spreading cultural awareness among the students of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University.
3. Creating a spirit of cultural competition among students.
4. Exchange of information and experiences between students.

Bouh Student Magazine

A diverse annual student magazine issued by the Deanship of Student Affairs at Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University.

Student visit programs

It is a program that aims to expand students' scientific, social, and cultural culture through the establishment of various scientific, social and cultural student visits.

Activities and Programs of the Youth Initiatives Unit

This unit has two sides; The first aspect is concerned with supporting, developing and adopting qualitative projects and initiatives emanating from the students of Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University and creating opportunities to empower students and achieve the highest levels of achievement for their creative ideas, on both levels. Theoretical knowledge, and practical application.
The other side is concerned with raising awareness and spreading knowledge in the university and local community, by encouraging students to pursue meaningful scientific research, and to hone their scientific, knowledge, service, innovation and entrepreneurship skills, through a number of activities, courses, events, conferences and purposeful student forums.
Objectives
1. Spreading the culture of specialized volunteering, based on theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
2. Supporting student initiatives for university students, at the developmental or executive level.
3. Develop students' skills in project management and provide theoretical programs and workshops to achieve this goal.
4. Enable students to apply for local and international awards in the field of various qualitative initiatives.

Closing Ceremony of the Activities of General and Specialized Student Clubs

A ceremony organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs to highlight the activities of the general and specialized student clubs and to honor the distinguished students in the clubs.
