Community Partnership Unit 

The Community partnership unit was founded within the College of Applied Medical Sciences (CAMS) to establish and oversees the implementation of all community partnership relations. The overall goal of this unit is to achieve the Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University and CAMS’ visions of excellency in community services. The goal of this unit will be accomplished by the CAMS members including faculty members, administrators, and students and it will be driven by the community’s current and future needs.  

Goals

  • Increase the awareness about the community service among the CAMS members. 
  • Establish successful collaborations between the university and external entities.
  • Help in implementing community service projects provided by CAMS members. 
  • Facilitate ongoing community service projects financially and logistically.

The Development Unit

The Development Unit of the College Vice Deanship of Studies, Development and Community Service collaborates with the university’s authorities to equip the college beneficiaries (the students, faculty members, and administrative staff) with the skills they need to perform their tasks to the fullest in accordance with the highest professional standards. 

Goals

  • Assess the needs of the beneficiaries for development programs in regular basis. 
  • Coordinate with the IAU authorities including, but not limited to, the Deanship of Students Affairs, the Deanship of Academic Development, and the Continuing Education Center to set up development workshops for the beneficiaries. 
  • Facilitate conducting the development workshops through scheduling, advertising, assigning place and time, and preparing post-workshops reports related to each workshop.

Quality and Accreditation Unit

The Quality and Accreditation Unit of the College of Applied Medical Sciences Dammam has been established under the supervision of the Vice-Deanship for Studies Development, and Community Services (VDSDCS) to ensure that the quality and process in all aspects of the college are in place by warranting the achievements of all parameter-standards of the NCAAA; based on emerging qualitative outcomes applying evidence-based research and factual documentation. The QAU collects, compiles, analyzes, and updates the necessary supporting documents which would be beneficial to obtain accreditation from the NCAAA.

Goals

  • Promote a well-cultured environment with high essence for quality in the college.
  • Guide on requirements, priorities, and strategies for quality improvement.
  • Analyze issues and difficulties affecting the quality and academic accreditation processes for the academic programs and advocate solutions.
  • Coordinate NCAAA training sessions for faculty and staff.
  • Establish a quality assurance system 
  • Supervise the execution and monitoring of various quality requirements and related tasks.
  • Conduct and update periodic reviews related to quality processes and standards.
  • Develop Key performance indicators to measure the college activities and measure beneficiary satisfaction on services provided to analyze them and report them for improvement.
