The applicants will follow one of the tracks according to their certificates. The health institutes’ diploma graduates have to pass the Preparatory semester since it is a prerequisite to the following semesters. During the Preparatory semester, the students have to study basic science subjects such as anatomy and physiology, pathology, nutrition and biochemistry. The program includes four other semesters where the students will study specialized nursing subjects and practice in the field of nursing subspecialties.
The study period for the Bridging Program is three years for the graduates from one of the Colleges of Health and three and a half years for institute graduates. This includes internships where the students will be trained at King Fahd Hospital as well as in other specialty hospitals. At the end of the study period, the graduates will have the qualifications for a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
