During the field studies, students will be trained on the standard methods for collecting environmental samples (air, water, soil). In addition, students will improve their practical experience through sample analysis in environmental health laboratories and interpret results through a series of group discussions and seminars.
Finally, the students will be trained on how to prepare a report identifying environmental health problems, causes of such problems and figuring out the best alternatives for solving such problems.
Following the completion of the bachelor degree program’s requirements, the students will spend one year of training in different industrial, health and government sectors. The environmental health internship program is designed to be a supervised practical experience for the students before graduation in order to extend the competencies needed for a career as a professional environmental health specialist.
