Course Description
On successful completion of this course the student should be able to:
- Know the nature of pharmacology, its terminology and the systems set to control and promote safety and quality of drug use.
- Understand mechanisms of drug actions and intracellular machineries exploited through these actions.
- Appreciate the basic principles of pharmacokinetics and their relevance to optimizing effectiveness of drugs with respect to gender and life span contexts.
- Understand the basic mechanisms and factors underlying adverse drug reactions, interactions and toxicities
