Course Description
This course covers differentiation of functions of one variable with applications. Indeed, this course covers the following topics:
- Find several types of limits of functions (numerically, graphically, and algebraically).
- Determine the region of continuity and types of discontinuity of a function.
- Compute the slope of the tangent line at a point.
- Calculate derivatives of polynomial, exponential, rational, trigonometric, logarithmic, and related functions.
- Find extreme values, regions of monotonicity and concavity, asymptotes of a function.
Apply derivatives in approximating roots of equations and in solving optimization problems.
