Course Description
The course aims at introducing students to the importance of nutrition to pre-school children. The course concepts include the healthy food culture for mother and child, nature of food and food habits, health care for pregnant mother, difficulties that face food environment, balanced healthy food for children, significance of breast-feeding for children, procedure and conditions of good weaning, child nutrition in pre- school stage, factors that affect childeating behavior, malnutrition diseases, genetics and children, common infectious diseases among children and role of vaccination in prevention of diseases.
