Course Description
The course is focused on particles that are dispersed in liquids. The topics presented in this course include: introduction to colloidal systems and classification, preparation of colloids, stability of colloids, properties of colloids, coagulation and flocculation in colloidal solutions. Nearby topics, such as surfactants, emulsions and foams, are also covered to some degree in order to make the course complete on a stand-alone basis.
