Course Description
The Environmental Chemistry course will cover the following topics: the chemistry of the atmosphere, primary and secondary pollutants, their types, their sources, their interactions and their effects and methods of analysis, sources of emission control and methods used to minimize their effects. Students will also study: water types, sources and types of air pollutants and the effects and interactions of these pollutants and the important measurements of water, such as: the acid-alkaline, hardness, dissolved salts and dissolved oxygen.
