Course Description
This course is an investigation of the concept of eco-friendly and green furniture crafts (restore, recycle, repurpose). It contributes toward learning how to design more sustainable and economical spaces using what is already available by applying various materials and techniques.
The course will explore via various workshops and tutorials techniques that can be applied to all different types of furniture pieces, from bookshelves to desks: painting, applying gold leaf, wallpapering, distressing, dip dyeing, and more.
Students will be encouraged to find the furniture and scarps, design a concept for the final style and apply techniques to them to achieve a harmonious designed corner of any residential space. This will expose students to various techniques and media towards a green interior.
