Course Description
The course aims at introducing students to WANs, devices, ways of connection, models of WANs, and enabling students to dividing and addressing networks, programming waves, using the suitable protocol. In addition, the course aims at introducing students to network layers, ways of transferring data among devices, internet performance, service provider and firewall programming.
This course includes differences between LAN and WAN, communication methods, switching techniques, switching techniques using virtual channels, routing, WAN communication techniques, examples of WANs, (TCP/IP, FTP, Telnet, DHCP, HTTP, IP), Also, dividing and addressing branch networks, bridge & router, wave design, DNS, Internet performance, Proxy, firewalls programming.
