Course Description
This course will introduce the student to pharmacology, therapeutics and toxicology. It will include the various ways of calculating drug doses for a particular client and general principles of avoiding incompatibilities in intravenous medications. The course will provide a working knowledge and understanding of the various principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacy-dynamics. These general principles will be applied to certain groups of drugs like autonomic drugs, cardiovascular drugs and drugs acting on GIT and endocrine system.
