Course Description
This course examines the plant water relations the enzymes and factors influencing photosynthesis, respiration, and metabolism in plants.
Practical content
The practical component of this course examines the water absorption and transport and the transpiration, the factors affecting the speed of enzymatic interactions and detection of enzymatic activity. Laboratory experiments on photosynthesis and respiration estimate some basic of the organic ingredients necessary for growth. This component also includes laboratory experiments related to secondary metabolites.
Course Objectives & Outcomes
At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
- Know the plant water relations
- Identify the types of enzymes and the factors influencing them.
- Have knowledge of the photosynthesis and respirationprocesses.
- Compare the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
- Identify secondary metabolism in plants.
