Overview 

Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery unit work in collaboration with a wide range of subspecialties such as Neurosurgery, Head and Neck surgery, audiology, interventional radiology among other subspecialties to provide multidisciplinary Team care for patients with disorders of the petrous apex, infratemporal fossa, internal auditory canals, cranial nerves, and lateral skull base.

Patient Care

The unit provides care to patients suffering from:
Temporal bone neoplasm such as carcinoma and paragangliomas
cerebellopontine angle lesions such as acoustic neuroma / vestibular schwannoma and Meningioma
Dizziness and balance disorders
facial nerve disorders.

Residents training

Otology and Neurotology units organize temporal bone dissection courses and workshops on annual basis courses including temporal bone dissection and demonstration of approaches to cerebellopontine angle lesions.
