Course Description

Drug targets- structure and function: drugs and protein structure, drug action at (enzymes, receptors, and DNA), receptor structure an signal transduction, drug discovery, design, and development, pharmacokinetic drug design, drug design and target interactions, neurotransmitters and hormones as drugs, Case studies (anti- bacterial agents).  drug design and development. Then drug development (hit to lead to clinical candidate, rules for bioavailability and pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and ADMET.
