Course Discription

This course offers a study of classical mechanics from a more advanced perspective than the freshman physics cours. Topics include a review of Newtonian mechanics, conservation laws, and oscillations using advanced math such as vectors and differential equations, as well as the study of other advanced topics: calculus of variations, Lagrangian and Hamiltonian dynamics, and central-force motion. This course intends to expand students’ physics and mathematical skills to tackle more advanced physics problems.
