Course Description
Content:
This course aims at introducing students to the concept of climate. Introducing the physical factors, such as air masses, types of circulations and heat balance, which play a major role in shaping climate. Applying the knowledge of climate variations to understand its interrelatedness with animal and plant communities’ distribution. Lastly, climate change and its effect on Earth and the society will be discussed.

- Define the concept of weather and climate.
- Explain physical factors shaping climatic patterns.
- Illustrate the relationships between climatic factors and ecological systems.
- Identify the principles and factors that are causing climate change and its effect on ecosystems.
