Course Description
This course is designed to expose students to certain strategies on how to carry out risk assessment, treatment planning and management of complicated and medically compromised patients. Student will be able to recognize medical conditions which impact a routine dental treatment and form a problem list with treatment planning. This course will facilitate the student in knowledge integration and will improve their clinical reasoning skills. The intention of this course is to lay a sound practical foundation for the students which will be applied in a dental practice.
Main Objectives
The purpose of the Comprehensive Patient Management (CPM) course is to integrate the knowledge in multiple dimensions and to teach the students in what way to manage their patients and practices to ensure an achievable dental practice with minimal risk. In this course the students will be exposed to strategies on how to carry out risk assessment, treatment planning and patient management. The course will help the students in collecting, analyzing and critically evaluating information, thereby, enhancing both their clinical and research skills.
