This course exposes students to the application of scientific principles to the measurement and forecasting of productivity in construction engineering; conceptual and mathematical formulation of labor, equipment, and material factors affecting productivity. Also, the course will focus on quality knowledge and quality improvement methods. This will involve discussion on quality standards, quality needs and overall strategic plans, customer satisfaction and focus, tools for quality project management, statistical process control, tools for continuous improvement, recent developments in quality in constructed projects, ISO standards, and survey of computer application software related to total quality management.
