The main objective of course is 

This course designed to equip students with skills that will enable you to analyze large amounts of language data using front-line computational technology. Students will also learn about a wide variety of applications of corpus linguistic methods for the analysis of English and other languages. This includes discourse analysis (newspapers, business reports, social media etc.), sociolinguistic analysis of written and spoken language as well as research and pedagogical applications of corpora.
