Course Description

This course enables the student to acquire the necessary skills in clinical situations to permit him/ her to understand Computed Tomography (CT) instrumentation and to undertake CT examinations of certain body parts. It is a buildup on previous course (MSRD 415) designed to involve the student within the working environment of Computed Tomography scanner. The student will be able to know the CT scanner physics and CT instrumentations. S/He will also be able to correctly position the patient in the couch for different CT examination of the head, abdomen, thorax and extremities with and without contrast media. Special emphasis is placed image reconstruction and special CT procedures.
