Course Description
After mastering the General English, the intensive English program will shift the focus to EAP (English for Academic Purposes) in the second semester. In addition to that, students will be introduced to ESP (English for Specific Purpose) during which students will get exposure to English language discourse of Architecture and Planning, and discipline specific terminology used in Architecture & Planning. Before the end of the second semester, students will have extensive training and preparation on strategies and study skills to sit and do the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The intensive English course will be conducted and delivered in close cooperation, research and continual consultation between the academic staff and lecturers of the College of Architecture & Planning, and the English language Academic staff to reach the optimal performance and proficiency in the English language which would empower the students to pursue their undergraduate and postgraduate studies fairly easily.
