Course Description
This course has been designed to provide an intensive course in Highway Materials Engineering. The subject areas to be covered are: (1) Materials Control and Acceptance - Quality Assurance; (2) Soils and subgrade Foundations; (3) Aggregates and Unbound Bases; (4) Asphalt Materials and Paving Mixtures; and (5) Concrete for pavement. The course will include laboratory work, reading and problem-solving assignments, and examinations.
