Course Description
This is an introductory course in Classical Mechanics. PHY 271 is the first of a two-semester general physics course. The primary
subject of this course is Mechanics. Topics includes motions in multiple dimensions, vectors, forces and the laws of motion,
circular motion, energy, momentum, and rotational motion. Elements of this subject material are found in all parts of nature.
This is a four-credit hour course.
