Under the patronage of His Excellency, the President of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, Prof. Abdullah Al-Rubaish, IAU hosted the official spokesman of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), Dr. Samer Al-Jutaili, to talk about the Kingdom’s efforts in providing relief to afflicted people around the world and its excellence in providing humanitarian work. The lecture was attended by the University’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ghazi Al-Otaibi, the Vice Dean of Student Activities, Dr. Abdullah Al-Naghmoush, and the Supervisor of the Intellectual Awareness Unit, Dr. Faisal Al-Tuwaijri.
Dr. Ghazi Al-Otaibi appreciated the great role played by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in providing aid and relief to countries affected by natural disasters, armed conflicts, epidemics, and humanitarian crises. The Center pays great attention to the value of volunteer and humanitarian work by enhancing cooperation and partnership with international, regional, and local institutions and organizations. In addition, Dr. Al-Otaibi emphasized the initiatives and efforts of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center confirming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to humanitarian and Islamic values, and its lofty vision of promoting the concepts of goodness and giving to others. It reflects the Kingdom's distinguished role in the international community as a country that seeks to achieve stability, comprehensive development, and world peace.
Today, we are pleased with the presence of the official spokesman of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center,Dr. Samer Al-Jutili, who shed light on some of the Center’s great work in the service of humanity. He also appreciated the efforts of the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Intellectual Awareness Unit in organizing this meeting.
Dr. Samer Al-Jutaili added: “what I presented today is a story of effort and giving by the Kingdom, represented by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. The message that we must deliver to the society and the world is that we must know who we are and who the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is, our history, and what we offer to the world, this will give us great confidence to speak to the world about our efforts especially in humanitarian work. We are a country that makes a difference in people’s lives and saves hundreds of thousands of people on the world level, as the number of beneficiaries from the Center is estimated at about 500 million people so far during the past eight years. We also have a great legacy in humanitarian work that we have the right to be proud of as it puts confidence in us when talking to the world about what the Kingdom gives and provides, which is part of the wonderful image of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The impact of the Kingdom is no longer on the level of individuals, but rather on the level of nations in all fields, such as separating the Siamese twins and providing education to students, in addition to planting goodness everywhere in the world in different other fields of giving. Finally, every fair, just, and loyal human being bears witness to the work and efforts done by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
