This step aims to strengthen partnership between academic institutions and the media sector.
Under the patronage of the General Commission for Audiovisual Media, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, represented by the College of Arts – Department of Communication and Media Technology, signed a memorandum of cooperation with MBC Academy. The agreement was concluded on the sidelines of the fifth edition of the Saudi Media Forum, held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him. This step aims to strengthen partnership between academic institutions and the media sector and to develop national competencies in the fields of media and creative production.
The memorandum seeks to enhance knowledge-based and professional collaboration and to exchange expertise in media production, as well as to develop joint educational and training programs that contribute to preparing students for the media labor market. It also aims to support practical training and applied programs that enhance students’ readiness and enable them to acquire specialized professional skills.
The areas of cooperation also include empowering national talents in the media and film sectors, developing the skills of male and female students, and supporting joint initiatives that contribute to aligning educational outcomes with the needs of the media labor market. This, in turn, enhances investment in national competencies and contributes to the development of the media industry in the Kingdom.
