International webinar on Monday, 24 November 2025, titled: “Designing Future-Ready Curricula: AI-Driven Innovation, Sustainability, and Global Competence.” The webinar aimed to equip faculty members to design and implement curricula.
With the participation of the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, the Deanship of Academic Development organized an international webinar on Monday, 24 November 2025, titled: “Designing Future-Ready Curricula: AI-Driven Innovation, Sustainability, and Global Competence.” The webinar aimed to equip faculty members from various disciplines with the knowledge and tools needed to design and implement curricula that prepare students for future workforce demands and a rapidly changing global landscape—through the lens of AI-driven innovation, sustainability, and global competence.
The event featured distinguished international and local experts, including: Prof. Jukka Käyhkö, Professor of Geography, University of Turku, Finland. Eng. Suvi Ylioja, IT Services Engineer, Digital Services Management, University of Turku, Finland. Dr. Erkki Härkönen, Senior Consultant for Educational Support Services, University of Turku, Finland. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Mulla, Acting Chair of the English Department – Deanship of Preparatory Year, and PFUTL Fellow/Mentor, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University. Dr. Ghada Fouad Al-Yousef, Family Medicine Consultant, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Development, Quality, and Community Partnership, and PFUTL Fellow/Mentor, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University.
The webinar was moderated by Dr. Dana Fouad Al-Hussain, Chair of the Industrial Design Department at the College of Design. The event drew more than 150 faculty members from a wide range of disciplines, and an open discussion space allowed attendees to engage actively. The session featured numerous insightful and enriching contributions that added significant depth to the dialogue.
