Saudi Aramco Chair for Traffic Safety, in its communicative meeting with IAU, discussed several plans and projects related to the chair in the coming years with the participation of relevant governmental sectors headed by the President of Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University, Prof. Abdullah Al-Rubaish, and the general supervisor of Aramco Chair for Traffic Safety. Dr. Abdul Hamid Al-Mojil, and the Secretary General of Traffic Safety Committee, Mr. Abdullah Al-Rajhi.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Rubaish stressed the importance of focusing on the traffic safety chair as one of IAU priorities in order to educate the community about traffic safety for achieving the desired goal. A word confirms the continuation of collaboration between IAU and Saudi Aramco for enhancing the role of traffic safety in the Eastern Region along with many aspects related to driving, awareness, and roads whether engineering or through suitability for driving to raise the behavior of drivers and the level of safety. 

He commended Saudi Aramco for its support toward achieving safety through the national and international experiences that the university provides in this field toward success. 

The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant authorities such as the Eastern Region Secretary, Saudi Aramco, Ministry of Roads branch in the Eastern Region, and the Traffic General Directorate in Region. 

Dr. Al-Rubaish highly appreciated the great support and follow-up from H.R.H, Prince Saud bin Nayef, Governor of the Region, and H.R.H, Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman - may God bless them - for their continuous support to the chair and the university over all initiatives, and their keenness to make the chair an icon over the Kingdom level and an ideal example to be followed in aspects of enhancing traffic safety, traffic awareness and the chair’s multiple aspects, looking forward that this blessed effort will contribute to enhancing traffic safety at the national level and benefit from global experience in building traffic-culture helps in spreading the concepts of traffic safety, and reduce traffic accidents which are considered as a current problem cause great human and material losses.
