Course Description
Health risks associated with water and disease-causing pathogens will be some of the topics covered in this course, along with types of diseases (water borne, water contact, water washed, water-vector-related, water based, sanitation-related diseases); chemicals and radiation health hazards, plans and programs for disease prevention as well as methods for control of disease-causing vectors (chemical methods, biological methods, environmental management methods – permanent, temporally, manipulation, integrated). Environmental health in certain engineering projects and systems will also be presented.
