This course is designed to introduce students to the approaches and methodologies associated with making engineering economic decisions while considering the ethical implications and dilemmas associated with these decisions. Methodologies and techniques covered include time value of money, cash flow analysis, rate of return, cost-benefit and breakeven analysis, evaluation of alternatives under budget constraints, investment, and cost analysis, among others.
