Perioperative Anesthesia Management

Course Description

Scope of the anesthetic practice and general management of the patient during anesthesia will be detailed in this course. Positioning the patient after anesthetic induction and during the operative procedures also will be discussed. The course will include also fluid administration, perioperative fluid therapy, electrolyte and acid-base disturbances as well as blood and blood component therapy. Other items of the general care of the anesthetized patient like thermoregulation and nutrition of the surgical patient will be explained.
