The course has been designed to cover the fundamental aspects of fire and explosion education and training. The course examines the effects of fire on property, people, and the environment while developing an understanding the various techniques used for fire protection along with an introduction to fire safety codes are provided to illustrate the design procedures that are required to prevent failure. The students will be trained in using numerical modeling software to simulate the fire behavior in buildings. Case studies are discussed to develop an understanding of causes of fire accidents and methods to protect against fire damage.
