Course Description
This course covers the concept of biodiversity both locally and globally as well as the following topics: the concept of natural and artificial reserves for organisms, endangered species, the food chain, different environmental camps, national parks, gene banks, the importance of biodiversity and the roll of ethics in biodiversity.
By studying plant Biodiversity course the students should be able to:
- Identifying the concept of biodiversity.
- Differentiate between different levels of biodiversity.
- Analyses of the importance of protected areas for conservation.
- Conclude the importance of biodiversity measurements.
- Comparing between the protected areas in KSA and Arab countries.
- Recognize the role of genetic resource banks and seed banks.
- Communicate effectively during discussions and group learning.
- Acquire the skills of leadership
