Course Description
This course will include the following topics: an introduction to the emergence of comparative anatomy, the study of symmetry and the similarity between members, a detailed study of the anatomy of animals, a comparative study of the organs, specifically the skin and the study of structural composition of the skull both bone and cartilage.
Summary of the main learning outcomes for students enrolled in the course:
- Comparison of the anatomical structures in Chordates to throws similarities and differences into better relief. Comparison emphasizes the functional and helps formulate the question we might ask of structure.
