Course Description
Basics of scientific method in the search (definition of search and its types, scientific method and its steps, how to choose a research’s problem), Library and research (organizing the library and choose books, references, bibliography, collection sources), Research methodology (classification of research methods, search documentary, experimental method, text approach, research in natural sciences, mathematics, and technology), Preparation of the research plan (the basic elements of the research plan, the importance of studying, plan to complete the search), Writing a research report (the component of the report and step’s writing, the general principles in the writing of the report, graphical presentation and photogrammetry, some common mistakes).
Learning Objectives
At the end of this unit, the student will be able to:
- Know the basics of scientific method in the research and how to search for information in the library,
- Choose the research methodology and develop a plan,
- Collect, analyze and provide search results,
- Write the thesis or a scientific research.
