Course Description
Basic definitions (population, sample, parameter,…), Simple random sampling, Confidence intervals, sample size, Estimating proportions, ratios, and subpopulation means, Stratified sampling, Cluster and Systematic Sampling.
Course Objectives & Outcomes
The objectives of this course are to:
- Identify different types of sampling techniques.
- Define the population parameters.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Mention the basic concepts of sampling.
- Define simple random sampling.
- Outline confidence intervals, sample size, estimating proportions, ratios, and subpopulation means.
- Describe stratified sampling.
- Describe cluster sampling.1.
