The program adopts an integrated approach aimed at enriching knowledge, enhancing students’ competence and readiness, and building their scientific and practical expertise according to international methodologies.
The 2025 edition of the Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Program was launched today at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, in partnership with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), with the participation of 320 male and female students. The program adopts an integrated approach aimed at enriching knowledge, enhancing students’ competence and readiness, and building their scientific and practical expertise according to international methodologies. It also aspires to prepare outstanding national talents capable of meeting the demands of development and competing effectively and distinctively in both local and global job markets.
The program’s activities commenced with an orientation session attended by program supervisors and trainers, along with participating students and their parents. This session was designed to introduce the program, explain its components, and outline the upcoming phases, which are scheduled to continue for three weeks, God willing.
Dr. Nasser Al-Rayes, the program supervisor, emphasized that the launch of the program aligns with a national strategic effort to invest in young minds and open avenues for scientific excellence and innovation within a supportive and stimulating educational environment. He affirmed that Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, in partnership with Mawhiba, is committed to equipping gifted students with modern knowledge tools and connecting them early on with their academic and professional futures. This contributes to preparing a conscious and qualified generation capable of leading the knowledge transformation and achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Dr. Mashael Al-Namshan, Head of the Female Students Program, stated that the program offers gifted students' broad opportunities to refine their skills and develop their abilities in a specialized and creativity-driven scientific environment. She added that the students’ awareness, ambition, and high potential qualify them to play an active role in the knowledge transformation taking place in the Kingdom. She also stressed the university’s commitment to empowering students with future-oriented tools and supporting their academic and professional presence at all levels.
It is worth noting that this year’s program includes a set of specialized academic tracks in various fields, including: biotechnology, biomedical sciences, chemical applications, renewable energy, anatomy and physiology, data science and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, architecture and creative design, and geological treasures. The program also places special emphasis on developing personal skills and national values. All students will participate in two training workshops focused on emotional intelligence and values of citizenship and national identity.
