A delegation from the College of Arts at the University of Dammam, Saudi Arabia visited the College of Shariah in Kuwait on April 7-8, 2015 CE/Jumada Al AAkhirah 18-19, 19/6/1436 AH. The members of the delegation were:

  • Dr. Eman Mohammad Saleh, Vice Dean of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation, College of Arts
  • Dr. Muneera Mohammad Alazraqi, Associate Professor of Linguistics, Department of English
  • Dr. Maleeha Ali Alzahrani, Head, Quality Assurance Office, Department of History
  • Dr. Moza Nasser Alkaabi, Chair Sociology and Social Work Department

During the visit the delegation met with the deans, vice deans, departments chairs, faculty members, heads of quality assurance and academic accreditation offices  at the following colleges:

  • College of  Social Sciences
  • College of  Sharia
  • College of Arts

The visit focused on the University of Kuwait's experience at developing  its academic programs as well as benchmarking academic programs at College of Arts, including Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, English Language, History, Geography and Geographic Information System, Library and Information Science, and  Media and Communication along with similar programs at the University of Kuwait.

 

This visit also included many fruitful academic sessions, which will play an integral role towards academic and professional quality. The sessions will also contribute to the influence of the College of Arts on a regional level.
