Department of Communication and Media Technology Holds Introductory Workshop on the Saudi Media Forum.

The Department of Communication and Media Technology at the College of Arts, Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, organized an introductory workshop on the Saudi Media Forum 2026. The workshop was presented by the University’s Ambassador to the Forum, student Jawaher Mohammed Al-Murkhan, and was held at the College Theater.

The workshop highlighted the main themes of the Forum, which, in its fifth edition, is being held under the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him. It was emphasized that this patronage reflects the leadership’s strong support for the media sector and contributes to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The workshop also addressed the Forum’s vision and mission, which centered on inspiration, innovation, value promotion, and building an influential global media industry. It further outlined the Forum’s three strategic objectives: empowering media talents to drive the future, providing an investment platform to open new horizons for media-related business cooperation, and building a professional network that connects media professionals locally and globally.

Moreover, the workshop showcased the Forum’s key initiatives, such as Media Ambassadors, SMF Connect, The Storm Room, Saudi MIB, and SMF Grow Up. These initiatives have significantly contributed to the Forum’s achievements, including attracting hundreds of international guests, hosting numerous participating organizations, conducting dozens of workshops and sessions, achieving millions of views, and launching distinguished awards and specialized media tracks.

The workshop concluded by affirming that the Forum continues to advance with confidence toward becoming an international platform for reshaping the future of media, embodying its message: Our media, our identity, our message, our future.
