Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Rubaish, President of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, and Dr. Hussam Muhammad Ramadan, President of Al-Yamamah University, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC). The event was attended by IAU Vice-President for Development and Community Partnership, Dr. Nihad Al-Omair, and the Directorate for Public Relations and Media, Dr. Tufail Al-Yousef, and YU Vice-President, Dr. Yazid Al-Suhaibani, and Mr. Abdulaziz Buhimed.

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al-Rubaish stated that this memorandum came within the framework of both IAU and YU's interests in creating strategic cooperation in the fields of education, training, research, and consultations through exchanging of information, opinions and ideas, and transferring experiences and knowledge to implement joint activities. It enhances cooperation between universities in Saudi Arabia and works to improve the level of education in many aspects related to students and faculty members, and this is our goal to achieve the visions and aspirations of the educational system.

Dr. Al-Rubaish added that the scope of the initiative includes exchanging materials and publications for education, research, and organizing conferences, workshops, programs, research activities, training activities as well as field and research reports.

For his part, the President of Al-Yamamah University, Dr. Hussam Muhammad Ramadan, stated that Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University is one of the reputable universities in the Kingdom and in the Eastern Province, and it has a long history in research, scientific and academic fields. This is what made us interested in signing this memorandum through which we seek to establish cooperation between the universities as stated in many of the clauses that were agreed upon in the memorandum, appreciating the efforts made to harness this memorandum to appear as required and to achieve the expected goals.
