The award aims to discover literary talents and stimulate creativity in the fields of classical Arabic poetry and theatrical writing.

In recognition of the esteemed status of the Arabic language as the language of the Holy Quran and a vessel for human thought and creativity, and in celebration of International Arabic Language Day, the College of Arts at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University has launched the fifth edition of the “Literary Creativity Award 2025” under the slogan: “Arabic Language: Pride and Identity.”

The award aims to discover literary talents and stimulate creativity in the fields of classical Arabic poetry and theatrical writing, in addition to fostering linguistic belonging, pride in the aesthetics of the Arabic language, and its refined expressive styles, while reinforcing its position as a vessel of thought and a source of national pride and identity.

This year, the award includes two main tracks: classical Arabic poetry and theatrical writing. It targets the university’s students and staff from both the academic and administrative bodies, with a prize of SAR 5,000 awarded to the winner of each track.

Notably, the Literary Creativity Award has been held annually since 2020, with each edition dedicated to a theme aligned with national and cultural occasions, making it one of the most prominent initiatives promoting literary awareness and national identity.
