The University of Dammam gained full and unconditional Institutional Academic Accreditation from the NCAAA after the University completed all requirements to enforce systems, quality standards and institutional academic accreditation as well as fulfilling all quality conditions. This accreditation came after a weeklong visit of international experts from the United States, Germany, Cyprus, the United Kingdom and Greece. These experts specialize in the fields of quality and academic accreditation and work for international accreditation organizations and were under the supervision of the NCAAA.  This crucial visit was the last in a long line of previous visits to UoD in order to make sure that the University and its plans, policies and institutional and academic procedures were complete. This accreditation is important since it signifies that the University of Dammam has met the strict required standards, while assuring the community of the advanced level of quality the University provides as well as enhancing UoD’s reputation.

The president of the University, Dr. Abdullah M. Al Rubaish stated that, “The University has met all the academic institutional accreditation standards and has received full and unconditional accreditation, which is one of the most important accreditations.  This accreditation is for four years and will help UoD keep up with the latest developments and scientific and technological changes.”  He added that, “Academic accreditation has a positive effect on all University staff from faculty, students and employees and it gives them a sense of achievement and belonging as well as career satisfaction.”

Dr. Al Rubaish expressed his gratitude and appreciation on behalf of the University’s employees to the Minister of Education, Dr. Azzam Al Dakhil, for his support and encouragement in obtaining academic accreditation and for his continuous efforts in keeping the nation current with the latest developments in the field of teaching and education.
