Course Description
This course serves three primary purposes. The first is to introduce management principles and theory as well as address the basic nature of managing projects. The second purpose is to introduce the characteristics; techniques (such as work breakdown, bar charts and network scheduling) as well as issues (such as project delivery systems, quality control and assurance, project funding and cash flow) associated with initiating, planning, executing, terminating and operating/maintaining design and construction projects. The third objective of this course is to develop awareness about project management in order to help develop and guide future project managers.
