Course Description
The course aims at introducing students to the importance of learning scientific concepts for pre-school child as well as designing activities to develop scientific concepts of kindergarten.
The course concepts include: concepts, what is concept?, concepts learning and factors affecting them, formation of concept and the psychological processes involved in their formation, development of concepts among pre-school children, types and uses of concepts, growth and formation of concepts’ theories, nature of science and kindergarten children, significance of scientific concepts learning to kindergarten children (scientific concepts and developing scientific style in thinking, power of observation development), kindergarten female teacher and philosophy of scientific concepts development; formation, growth and learning of mathematical concepts to kindergarten child ( topological concepts, geometrical concepts, classification concept and group formation, comparison concepts: serialization, arrangement, contrasting concepts, equality of groups concepts, concept of equality keeping, number concept, measurement concepts.
