Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Aljasser is an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics at the College of Pharmacy, specializing in advanced drug delivery systems and nanomedicine. His research interests focus on the development of highly efficient targeted drug delivery systems, with particular emphasis on liposomes and lipid nanoparticles, aiming to enhance therapeutic safety and efficacy.
He holds a PhD in Pharmacy (Advanced Therapeutics and Nanomedicine) from the University of Nottingham (England), an MSc in Advanced Drug Delivery from the University of Strathclyde (Scotland), and a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from King Saud University (Saudi Arabia). He currently teaches and coordinates pharmaceutics and drug delivery systems courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, while actively supervising and contributing to academic and research activities. He also supervises a number of undergraduate and master’s research projects.
Alongside his academic career, he is developing his leadership and managerial skills through an MBA program (SBS, Switzerland) and actively contributes to institutional service through committees related to strategic planning, expertise houses, alumni affairs, and student activities. He is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Saudi Pharmaceutical Society.
He was awarded first place in the Professional Category at the Saudi International Pharmaceutical Sciences Meeting and Workshops (SIPHA 2025) for research related to liposome safety, reflecting the quality of his research outputs and their applied impact.
