Dr. Zaheer Kazmi hold the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Construction Engineering at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. With nearly 20 years of extensive experience in academia, research, and industry, Dr. Kazmi has made significant contributions to the field of Geotechnical Engineering.
He earned both his Master and Ph.D. degrees from the prestigious University of Tokyo, Japan, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering. His primary research interests include sustainable ground improvement and foundation engineering, soil-structure interaction modeling, ground deformation analysis, geotechnical earthquake engineering, and the application of GIS in geotechnical engineering.
Dr. Kazmi is a prolific researcher, having published more than 40 high-quality research papers in well-recognized and indexed journals. His scholarly work reflects a commitment to advancing sustainable and innovative solutions in civil engineering.
In addition to his academic and research achievements, Dr. Kazmi has played a pivotal role in institutional development. As the Head of the Quality and Academic Accreditation Unit, he successfully led the department through two cycles of ABET accreditation, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to international academic standards.
He has also been recognized for his dedication to education and student development, receiving awards for teaching excellence and multiple appreciation certificates from the college for his outstanding performance.
