Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulkarim Al Obeyyed (Died 1432H)
In 1436 AH the Deanship of Library Affairs was honored to receive Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulkarim Al Obeyyed's personal library collection. Moreover, this is the first time that the University received a personal scholar collection.
The late Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulkarim Al Obeyyed - God bless his soul – is one of the pioneers of Arabic literature in Saudi Arabia, the first chairman of the Eastern Region Literary Club (1410 - 1426 AH) and has been a member of the professional association and scientific council of Saudi Arabia.

- O nation of the right - a collection of poems.
- The assets of the Islamic approach.
- Alawazem tribe.
- Geographical encyclopedia for Eastern country of Saudi Arabia.
- Jubail past and present.
Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulkarim's personal collection contains Arabic literary sources, general reference books, Islamic law references, Arabic literature, history and geography. The collection is organized in the Special Collections Unit for consultation of students and researchers of the University. The collection can also be searched through the library catalog.
