Mission
Constant efforts to elevate and develop the level and efficiency of the security/safety management and devices in the university, fostering cooperation among all segments of the university community and security personnel to ensure professionalism and excellence towards a sustainable safe community.
Objectives
- Form a task force which includes specialized academics, doctors, experts from Civil Defense, the Red Crescent, specialized centers, and security department officials to prepare international standards for "Achieving Security and Safety" at Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University and all its rudiments (corporal/moral) and submit them for university approval.
- Continuously collaborate with relevant external entities to keep pace with development, incorporate modern elements into security devices, and improve laws/regulations to ensure high-quality outcomes for the security/safety of the university, staff, and visitors.
- Prepare security staff at the university to respond quickly to emergencies and disasters within the university, and support local security agencies in case of disasters or emergencies, be it within the university or its branch colleges.
- Maintain university buildings and prevent any attempts of vandalism or theft of contents and property, as well as ensure the safety and maintenance of general safety devices such as fire extinguishers and emergency exit outlets, etc.
- Maintain the safety and security of university staff/visitors.
- Provide security for conferences, seminars, and exhibitions at the university, its facilities and branch colleges.
- Take the necessary measures to prevent and reduce accident occurrence.
- Handle traffic accidents promptly and issue violations according to pertinent regulations.
- Investigate any violations affecting the security/safety of the university and refer them to the relevant authorities if necessary.
- Supervise all company and institution personnel to comply with safety regulations.
- Verify the identities and permits of individuals visiting the university and its branches.
- Train/qualify human resources to perform tasks related to maintaining the security/safety of the university and its branches, minimizing human and material losses.
- Training, qualifying, and improving human assets to limber up the tasks of protecting the university's Security and Safety to eliminate human and physical losses.
