Universities are considered as the main engine for scientific research in addition to the specific research centers. Thus, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, which is one of the leading universities in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, focused on supporting scientific research by establishing high-quality research centers with the aim of improving the outputs of scientific research and converting them into inventions that can benefit human and society in all applied fields.
Accordingly, an administrative decision was issued by his Excellency the president of Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rubaish, based on the authorities assigned to him by law and in accordance with the letter of his Excellency the General Secretary of the Interim Committee of the higher education council No. 248 dated 27/2/1437 AH, and based on the requirements of the public interest, it was decided to establish a Basic and Applied Scientific Research Center at Al Rayyan college complex in order to promote the scientific publication of faculty members, scholars and researchers inside and outside the college.
